Major Academic Events: Kathleen got her bachelor's degree in math's from the university of London, and in 1950 got her PhD in applied mathematics.
Contributions to Computer Science: Kathleen Booth was one of the first computer programmers to make an assembly language. One of the first people to work on the new concept of software. She also designed the assembler and autocode for the first computer systems. She impacted computer science by being one of the first people to create a language for computers and worked on a concept called "software".
